A video has emerged of Homes Under the Hammer legend Martin Roberts ‘playing hide and seek with a ghost’ in scenes from a spooky new show.
The presenter had been sensing some paranormal happenings in his 400-year-old farmhouse, which is said to be the oldest in the Welsh Rhondda valleys.

Rather than calling an exorcist in, he decided to seek the help of ghost hunter Barri Ghai, psychic medium Ian Lawman and paranormal researcher Jayne Harris to get to the bottom of things.
Their investigation was filmed as part of new discovery+ series Celebrity Help! My House Is Haunted.
Speaking about the property on the show, Martin says (via Metro.co.uk): “This is the oldest property I have ever owned, just 1652 when it was built.
“This house has lived through so much history.

“I would say the house definitely has energy; I’m pretty convinced that there is a spirit here, but hopefully it knows that I’m its friend.”
Perhaps it does, as suggested in a scene in which the presenter appears to play ‘hide and seek’ with a spirit.
It all kicks off when the team pull out an SLS camera, a classic ghost hunter tool that uses structured light in order to capture spirit presences invisible to the naked eye.

What they discover is a reading of a small child-like figure that keeps appearing then vanishing from the corridor.
“This is like hide and seek though, isn’t it?” says Martin. “This is hide and seek, you’re not going to give yourself up that easily, are you?”
Barri then calls everyone back into the room to explain: “So Martin took the SLS and as he went round the corner, panning down that corridor towards the small room, a small stick figure appeared.
“And it was almost as if it went, ‘Oh my god, I’ve been seen,’ and then disappeared.”

The findings echoed medium Ian’s initial sense of spirits in the home, including that of an older lady and a young boy who wanted to play.
As the team continued their investigation, they also found evidence of a ‘female spirit confirming her name in an audio clip’.
While most believers would run a mile following these findings, thankfully Ian confirmed that the ghosts weren’t angry or vengeful and so there was no need to cleanse the property.

Even so, it makes for spooky viewing - if that’s your cup of creepy tea, Celebrity Help! My House Is Haunted is available to stream now on discovery+.
