Network 10’s The Masked Singer Australia returned to our screens on Sunday (August 7) night, and the first big reveal was nothing short of nostalgic for Australian viewers.
Dressed as The Knight and singing a rendition of Ed Sheeran’s hit ‘Bad Habits,’ the first contestant was revealed to be veteran Neighbours actor, Ryan Moloney.
Moloney is well known for his 28-year run as Jarrod 'Toadfish' Rebecchi on Ramsay Street.

"Twenty eight years on Neighbours. I tell you, this is the shortest job I've ever had," Ryan joked after his reveal.
The Knight’s clues teased that he was 'the closest thing Australia has to true royalty', alongside cryptic imagery of him handing a bodyguard wearing a bride’s veil a bouquet of roses, and a clock reading 23:06.
While some of the judges took a more logical guessing route, using the Australian twang of the contestant’s vocals to guess Nick Cummins, Shannon Noll and Brendan Fevola, judge David Hughes was perhaps grander in his approach.
He went as far as guessing that David Hasselhoff would be behind the suit of armour.

But Moloney’s reveal saw fans of the show turning to Twitter to share wild, yet not entirely impossible fan theories for the show’s remaining contestants.
One fan tweeted: “Plot twist all the celebrities are actors from Neighbours that still had time left on their Channel 10 contracts."
Personally, I’m not ready to dismiss this fan theory.
Fingers crossed for a Jackie Woodburne reveal next.
