Footage has resurfaced of Meat Loaf telling a young James Corden to 'never give up'.
The clip of the pair originally aired back on 27 October 1995 on Good Morning With Anne and Nick.
Responding to James when he explained that he was in a band and wanted some advice, Meat Loaf said: "The one thing you got to do is that you need to always do the best you can do.
"No matter what the given situation, no matter what comes up against you, you do the best you can do and you never give up.
"Never quit."
You can watch the interview below:
At one point in the conversation, Meat Loaf admitted that performing and promoting his music makes him 'real tired' but when he was asked what keeps him going he was honest.
"You. Because as grumpy as I might be before I come down here, when I get down here because the people that I generally talk to and meet are always pretty interesting.
"As much as the interviewer wants to find out about me, I'm just as interested finding out about him or her."
The footage was released after it emerged that the 'Bat Out of Hell' singer had passed away aged 74.
A Facebook statement was released to reveal his death which read: "Our hearts are broken to announce that the incomparable Meat Loaf passed away tonight with his wife Deborah by his side. Daughters Pearl and Amanda and close friends have been with him throughout the last 24 hours."
It went on to add: "His amazing career spanned 6 decades that saw him sell over 100 million albums worldwide and star in over 65 movies, including Fight Club, Focus, Rocky Horror Picture Showand Wayne’s World.
“Bat Out of Hell remains one of the top 10 selling albums of all time.
"We know how much he meant to so many of you and we truly appreciate all of the love and support as we move through this time of grief in losing such an inspiring artist and beautiful man. We thank you for your understanding of our need for privacy at this time.
“From his heart to your souls… don’t ever stop rocking!”
