Inducing nostalgia for its predecessor and featuring high-octane action sequences, Top Gun: Maverick has been released to critical acclaim yet the show-stealer is Miles Teller and his dashing moustache.
Star of Whiplash (2014) and War Dogs (2016), Teller was frequently on cinema screens throughout the early-middle 2010s. He got his big break in 2010, having been handpicked by Nicole Kidman for a role in Rabbit Hole (2010) following his graduation from Tisch School of the Arts in 2009. By 2014 he had garnered nominations for the BAFTA Rising Star Award and the Satellite Award for Best Actor (both from Whiplash).
His status as a household name, unfortunately, waned after 2017 as he stopped appearing in motion pictures, taking a break from Hollywood. During the COVID-19 pandemic however, Teller’s name unexpectedly reappeared in the news after getting COVID-19 whilst on the set of The Offer (2022), a series currently based on the making of The Godfather (1972). What triggered headlines was Teller being an unvaccinated individual and his refusal to take a COVID test.

After appearing in the video for Taylor Swift’s “I Bet You Think About Me” in November 2021, Teller swiftly (pun intended) addressed the issue with a tweet establishing that he was, in fact, vaccinated.
Considering his lengthy hiatus from cinema and his recent controversies, whilst in the wake of Top Gun: Maverick’s release, fans are left wondering how much he could be worth.
What Is Miles Teller’s Net Worth?
As of June 2022, Teller’s net worth is $10 million (£8 million) according to Celebrity Net Worth.

It goes without saying that the vast majority of the wealth Teller has accrued comes from his film work. Although never released to the public, Teller’s earnings from his films post-2015 were reportedly over $1 million (£800,000) apiece, as determined by The Richest. Interestingly however, his most acclaimed piece Whiplash brought him a mere $8,000 (£6,405) according to Celebrity Net Worth. He also lost out on the lead in La La Land (2016) having requested payment of $6 million (£4.8 million) instead of the offered $4 million (£3.2 million).
Teller’s career was further affected by an Esquire article in 2015 portraying him as arrogant and crude which was very widely read. He spoke about the matter in an interview with The Guardian, believing himself to have been “misrepresented”. Nevertheless, he managed to bounce back and, in 2016, bought a $3 million (£2.4 million) property in Studio City, California, where he lives with his wife Keleigh Sperry.
