Stranger Thing’s Millie Bobby Brown was left stunned after learning her character Eleven’s real age during the Netflix show’s recent press junket.
Speaking with Stranger Things Brazil, the British actress was asked if she knew what age her sci-fi character was.
Turning to her co-star Noah Schnapp, she said: "I don't know how old Eleven is. I feel like we should know that. We should definitely ask someone how old our characters are."

Noah, 17, then suggested that the characters are around their age - but the interviewer was quick to correct them and revealed to Millie, 18, that Eleven is in fact 14-years-old.
Shocked by the revelation, the pair said in unison, "Eleven is 14?"

Still stunned, Millie remarked: "14? I was making out with Mike at 13?!! WHAT?!!
“I'm like 16 [referring to her age when she started playing the character]. I was thinking like maybe 16/17. That's insane. Ok. We need definite clarification; they're emailing right now."
And it wasn’t only Millie who was stunned by the revelation but also fans of the beloved series, who have watched Eleven grow up on screen for the past four seasons.
After the clip was shared online, fans took to the comment section to discuss the shocking revelation.

While other fans admitted they now understood why Hawkins Chief of Police Jim Hopper was so overprotective of El when she developed romantic feelings for Mike Wheeler last season.

Meanwhile, Netflix has revealed records are being broken by hit sci-fi horror series Stranger Things.
Since the latest season's release, Stranger Things 4 - Volume 1 has not only boosted a classic 1985 track all the way to the top of iTunes charts, but it's also smashed some viewing records, even overtaking another popular Netflix hit in the race to the most amount of hours viewed.
In March, after its release on the 25th, the second season of Bridgerton saw the number of hours viewed of the show reach 193 million.
However, Netflix has revealed Stranger Things - Volume 1 has seen 286.79 million hours viewed so far.
The production company and streaming platform also noted the season has been the first ever to reach number one in a whopping 83 countries.
In all 93 countries that Netflix tracks, the season made the top 10.
