The up-and-coming Moses Ingram plays the villain Inquisitor Reva Sevander in the series. But the real villains have been anonymous social media users spamming the Emmy-nominated star with vile racist abuse since the series launch.
Star Wars, Disney+, and Ewan McGregor have come out in support of the actor after she shared screenshots on her Instagram story, with one message reading, ‘You’re a diversity hire and you won’t be loved or remembered for this acting role’, according to Rolling Stone.

Ingram says she’s received hundreds of racist messages since the series launched, adding “there’s nothing anybody can do to stop this hate”.
The official Star Wars Twitter account hit back at the haters, writing: “There are more than 20 million sentient species in the Star Wars galaxy, don’t choose to be a racist”.
