Adele fans complain about 'absolute joke' seats as Adele World opens

Adele fans complain about 'absolute joke' seats as Adele World opens

Some Adele fans in Munich were left disappointed, but organisers weren't to blame for their view being blocked

Adele fans at the singer's Munich residency said they're 'p***ed' after they could 'barely see anything'.

The British singer opened her 10-night run at the purpose-built 'Adele World', an events venue made solely for the artist's use in Munich, Germany, as she plans to hold nine more shows at the Adele Arena.

You know you've made it when other countries are willing to have venues and stadiums named after you.

Adele's opening show was a spectacle to behold, and those lucky enough to be in the arena on Friday (2 August) night were treated to another outstanding performance from the London-based artist.

The 36-year-old played some of her biggest hits, and a number of songs from her latest album 30 after she had hinted at stepping away from music for a while after this run of shows.

Tickets for these shows, as expected, were through the roof, with even the least desirable tickets setting you back £139.

All 10 shows will take place in August, and those fans that didn't complain too much about the cost of tickets, who eventually went out and got some for themselves, ran into another problem.

It turns out that a lot of seats at the show had a restricted view - not by design though, take a look:

In the viral footage posted to TikTok, the user can be seen blocked by several people in front of them as fans thought that it would be a great and unselfish idea to, well, stand on their seats and block everyone's view.

Some people who shared the same experience commented below the video, as one said: "Honestly I was in A11 and it was an absolute joke. Paid all that money to barely be able to see anything due to people standing on the chairs majority of the time."

Another asked: "I'll be in B6, will I see anything?"

Someone replied: "Had B5, when people stood on the chairs you couldn’t see so everyone else also just stood up on the chairs in the end. Helped to shout 'get down' at some point!"

A fourth said they were happy they'd seen her elsewhere: "This is why I loved going to Vegas. It was intimate and immersive. I would be P***ED if I couldn’t see."

However, some people at the show claimed they had great views, as they were sitting in other areas.

A different user shared: "I was in B12 and through a few songs people were even sitting… I had a great view throughout the whole night…"

A sixth added: "The view in D17 was amazing."

Other people shared their worry for their seats in similar areas to the original video, and seemed disappointed at this being an issue, despite the arena and area around it being purpose built for these shows.
