If there was ever a day to feel sorry for the people who work at Ticketmaster it's going to be today.
They are at present dealing with all the people trying to buy Oasis tickets for their shows in Dublin and in a short while, they'll be inundated by everyone attempting to get tickets for the gigs across the UK.
There was always going to be gargantuan demand for Oasis tickets and plenty were worried that the Ticketmaster website would buckle under the strain of a million people all trying to buy tickets at once.

It seems as though those fears were justified, as people have been telling Ticketmaster that the website is crashing, leading the platform to put out some advice they hope will help.
A couple of minutes after tickets for the Croke Park concerts in Dublin went live, people started tweeting at Ticketmaster to say their site was crashing, and 'error 503' started trending on social media as people couldn't get access.

Ticketmaster responded by telling people: "Please clear your cache/cookies and ensure you aren't using any VPN software on your device/WiFi.

"If this doesn't help, please try using a different browser/device or using mobile data instead of WiFi. Thanks!"
Naturally some people were not finding this information to be much help for them, and complained to Ticketmaster to 'just admit the site has crashed'.
Ticketmaster since told LADbible: "The queue is moving along as fans buy tickets.
"As anticipated, millions of fans are accessing our site so have been placed in a queue.

"Fans are advised to hold their place in line, make sure they're only using one tab, clear cookies, and ensure they aren't using any VPN software on their device."
Whomever is running customer support for Ticketmaster Ireland is on the frontlines of today's action where many more people want to buy Oasis tickets than there are Oasis tickets available.
When your humble writer hopped onto Ticketmaster (the UK version) this morning to see what's what, he got put in a queue just to access the site - never mind any sort of queue for tickets.
Ticketmaster's other advice for those wanting to see Oasis is to already have an account registered on the site.

They also recommend a steady internet connection and urge you not to keep refreshing the page once you're in the queue for tickets as it might result in you getting booted to the back of the line.
It's going to be a major scramble.
