Adam Sandler’s hit Netflix film ‘Hustle’ has delighted fans worldwide with the dramatic story of a basketball scout who discovers a raw talent in Spain (Juancho Hernangómez) and tries to get him in to the NBA.
Now there are rumours that the renowned actor (and the all-star basketball line-up involved in the film’s production) could be back for a sequel.
What Could We Expect From A Hustle Sequel?
Hustle was directed by Jeremiah Zagar, and produced by the one and only LeBron James, which is why the film was showered with praise for its basketball knowledge (the story itself is completely fictional).

Anthony Edwards, an NBA star himself, shines as the movie’s antagonist Kermit Wilts, and Zagar recently said in an interview that “if we were to make a Hustle 2, it would be about him”.
“If Kermit is just a villain he’s uninteresting, but if he’s an anti-hero, which is how I see him, if he’s more like Michael Jordan than some kind of two-dimensional character, he’s more exciting. That’s what Anthony brought.”
Of course, we can’t say anything for certain yet as Netflix hasn’t commissioned a sequel, but considering the film is already being tipped for an Oscar, we’re all holding our breath.
Who Could Be In The Cast Of Hustle 2?
Sandler is now 55 years old but he put in one of the best dramatic performances of his career - so could feature in any sequel.

The unique approach of including current elite basketball heroes will surely continue. In fact, Zagar told CinemaBlend that he has his eye on Boban Marjanović, the Serbian League champion and Dallas Mavericks centre, as the potential star for a sequel.
Here’s who we hope would make an appearance, based on the cast of the original:
- Adam Sandler as Stanley Sugerman
- Queen Latifah as Teresa Sugerman
- Ben Foster as Vince Merrick
- Juancho Hernangómez as Bo Cruz
- Anthony Edwards as Kermit WIlts
