It's been revealed how long Breaking Bad will be available to watch on Netflix, after fans were left debating when it might be taken off the platform.

Back in 2022, a joint investigation conducted by The Wrap and What's On Netflix, claimed to have found the exact last date you could watch Breaking Bad on Netflix.

Apparently, the show was set to be kicked off Netflix on 10 February 2025, but it looks like there's some good news on the horizon.

According to What's On Netflix, the platform will be keeping the show online until at least 18th April 2027.

And this could be pushed back again if the licence is renewed.

Apparently, the date has changed because of spin-off show, Better Call Saul.

What's On Netflix explain that the sixth and final season of the show was added on 18th April 2023.

The Breaking Bad removal date could have therefore been pushed back to fit in with Better Call Saul, which will also leave the platform on 18th April 2027.

However, considering the viewing figures, the publication believes Netflix will try and renew its licence to the cult show.

LADbible has reached out to Netflix for comment.

The crime drama's first season was released back in 2008 and follows Walter White, a chemistry teacher who finds out that he has stage three cancer and turns to crime to secure his family's financial future before he dies.

ICYMI, we recently told you why Walt always seems to be wearing green in the show. Did you notice it?

In an interview with GQ Magazine back in 2013, Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan explained that a lot of work went into the colours associated with each character.

He said: "At the beginning of every series we would have a meeting in which I would discuss with the production designer and the costume designer about the specific palettes we would use for any given character throughout the course of the year.

"We did this in microcosm in the pilot episode: for instance in the pilot, it was intentional that Walt start off very beige and khaki-ish, very milquetoast, and he would progress through that one hour of television to green and thus show his process of evolution as a character."

The show will remain on Netflix until 18th April 2027 (AMC)

Gilligan explained there was one character whose colour palette stayed consistent, however.

"We started to do that in macrocosm throughout particular series: we'd start Walt for example one year in red and take him to black," he added.

"The one character we did not do that with was Marie, who stayed very consistent in her colour palette: she would always wear purple, to the extent of being quite monomaniacal about it.

"But there's quite a number of man hours spent discussing colour usage, and assigning colours to different characters and thinking in those terms."

You can watch Breaking Bad on Netflix now.
