Ever since the latest season of Monsters aired on Netflix, people have been glued to the story of Lyle and Erik Menendez.
The second season focuses on the Menendez brothers, who killed their parents in 1989 and received life sentences without the possibility of parole.
The Ryan Murphy-led show follows the events leading up to the moment the brothers were convicted of murder.
During the brothers' trial, they argued that they had been sexually abused by their parents for years and that was the reason behind their crime, meanwhile prosecutors argued that they'd been motivated by money.

On the night their parents were killed, the brothers claimed that they'd gone to see a movie, later finding the bodies of 45-year-old father, Jose and 47-year-old mother, Kitty.
Viewers have been blown away by the Netflix series, with many admitting to watching all episodes in one day.
One specific talking point of the series is Lyle's hair, and whether he did, in fact, wear a wig as portrayed in the Netflix show.

In the first episode, Lyle could be seen at the dinner table as he told his family he wanted to marry his girlfriend, Jamie Lee.
An argument ensues, and Lyle explains that his parents were married at the same age. He then calls his mother a hypocrite, before the row becomes even more heated and she rips off her son's hair piece, revealing a near-bald head underneath.
In real life, Lyle did, in fact, wear a toupee, explaining in testimonies that he had argued with his mother about it five days before their death.
As per USA Today, he said during his court testimony: "She reached and she grabbed my hairpiece and she just ripped it off."

Explaining that it was attached using glue, he said that her tearing it off was 'painful'
"[My brother] didn't know I had a hairpiece," he added. "I was completely embarrassed in front of my brother."
During the trial, Lyle was allowed to wear a toupee in court, but not while in prison.

It's not clear why Lyle suffered with hair loss, or when it began, but according to Vanity Fair, in 1988, Lyle purchased a wig from the Hair Replacement Center in Los Angeles for $1,450 (£1,088).
In the new Netflix series, Cooper Koch stars as Erik Menendez, while Nicholas Alexander Chavez takes on the role of Lyle.
Chloë Sevigny plays their mother Kitty and Javier Bardem portrays their father José.
