The secret wife of a Premier League footballer who tragically died in a car crash six years ago believes he's still alive.
If you've been on Netflix in the past couple of days you might have seen the documentary The Footballer, His Wife, and the Crash, which was first broadcast in ITV in 2022.
The documentary delves into the life of the former Premier League footballer Jlloyd Samuel, who stepped out onto pitches for Aston Villa and Bolton Wanderers.

It then covers his death in a car crash in 2018, where his body was burnt to the point that dental records were required to identify him, and the secrets which came spilling out afterwards.
Samuel's wife Emma would discover that while he was playing in Iran, he'd actually got married to another woman, and that she'd even met her once while in Dubai.
Emma had gone to see Jlloyd in Dubai and been introduced to a woman he said was a fortune teller, but was actually his supposed second wife.

Despite his death in 2018, there are some who believe that Jlloyd is still alive.
The crash occurred on the morning of 15 May, 2018 as a 37-year-old Samuel drove home from dropping his children off at school, his Range Rover was involved in a head-on collision with a van and exploded in flames.
Helia Sahimi, the woman he'd secretly married in Iran, is one of those who believes Jlloyd is still out there.
When she was contacted during production of The Footballer, His Wife, and the Crash, she said: "I believe my husband is still alive."

Jlloyd's sister Leslie-Ann Samuel has claimed that he wasn't behind the wheel of the Range Rover at the time of the crash, and alleged that her brother's death was faked.
She said she'd been denied the chance to have DNA from the body privately tested.
The DNA samples belong to Samuel's next of kin, his wife Emma, who, according to the documentary agreed to hand them over but they were never collected by Leslie-Ann.

Identified by dental records, an inquest into the footballer's death found that he was considerably over the drink-driving limit, though it was added by a toxicologist that the body can sometimes produce alcohol after death, and his car had been on the wrong side of the road.
Emma has also talked about being accused of having something to do with her husband's fate, saying: "Leslie-Ann approached me and said, 'I know you've got something to do with this and I'm going to get to the bottom of it'.
"And that's when the accusations all started being published on Instagram - 'it's a fake death and I've got something to do with it'; 'he's still alive and I've got something to do with his disappearance'."
LADbible have contacted Leslie-Ann Samuel for comment.
