Netflix viewers have been left split after the streamer has added a ‘very violent’ lesser-known Harlan Coben thriller series.
When it comes to Harlan Coben thriller series on Netflix, you can usually quite confidentially bet on them to shoot to the top of the streamer’s charts.
Something about the structure of them leads UK viewers to go crazy for the series based on his books, with Fool Me Once and Missing You both shooting straight to the top of the charts in the UK.

This could be happening once again, however, this time it will be a much less high profile affair than previous Coben successes.
Netflix have added Just One Look an adaptation of Harlan Coben’s novel of the same name.
The series follows a woman who finds an old photo of her husband.

All seems normal about it, except of course for the fact she has no memory of anyone in the picture but her husband.
After her husband vanishes, she pieces things together and stumbles across a vast conspiracy.
The show is Polish and one of his lesser known books, so it has not quite released to the same acclaim as Fool Me Once, one of the most watched Netflix shows ever, or Missing You, which managed to beat out Squid Game season two to the streamer’s top spot.

Just One Look, which one fan called ‘very, very violent’, has left fans completely split however. Many are thrilled to have a new Coben show, and others have slammed the series.
One comment on a Reddit thread about the show quite simply said: “It's very violent. We've got one more episode to go. I'd give the series a 5/10.”
The IMDb for the show currently sits at 6.1/10, but many of the most highly liked reviews are negative.
One 4/10 review said the show was ‘insulting the viewer’, saying: “Another story with so many holes.

“Frustrating the viewer as they ponder through the scenes as to whether this or that would happen. Could be so much better.”
Others, however, loved it.
One review on IMDb said: “This Polish mini-series had me hooked from the beginning, and I thought it was excellent.

“An extremely tense series, with evil personified by an extremely violent criminal and an elegant and perverse lawyer. A mini-series that deserves to be watched in a marathon.”
A Rotten Tomatoes verified review from LeisureByte.com said: “It's not always that we get a good Harlan Coben adaptation, but Just One Look is thoroughly enjoyable and is difficult to put down.”
Just One Look is on Netflix now.
