If you dig deep into Netflix’s library, it feels like left and right you can find some of the best thrillers around, and often times it will be ones you have never heard of.
Whether that be The Platform, Spiderhead, or another of their tense thrillers, Netflix is top to bottom full of gripping watches.
A new film on the platform has been added which fans are saying is a ‘rollercoaster’, and with some of the reviews you may be astounded you haven’t heard of it.

With an 8.7 rating on IMDb and near-perfect audience score of 96% on Rotten Tomatoes, clearly this is a film made with the fans in mind.
The 2024 film features a barber on a quest for vengeance after something of vital importance to him is stolen, except the it’s not quite clear exactly what it is that’s been stolen.
The film in question is called Maharaja, with a post on LADbible's Netflix Bangers Facebook group praising the twists and turns from the film. Check out the trailer:
Though it only has a Rotten Tomatoes critic score of 54%, the Indian action thriller is being praised across the board by fans, who say the film is full of twists and turns, with one IMDb review even deeming it a ‘10/10’ watch.

Some critics did love the film, however, as Gulf News said in their review of the film: “One of the most disturbing, enigmatic, and visceral watches of 2024.”
A review by critic Casey Chong said: “An engrossing thriller led by Vijay Sethupathi's stellar performance.”
IMDb reviews on the film are stellar, with one 10/10 review saying that ‘every cinephile should watch it’.
They said: “This should be a case study of how screenplays for movies should be written. Taking the simplest of stories and how characters should be developed in the script.”

Another, with a 9/10 review, said: “Maharaja is a rollercoaster of a movie that keeps you guessing until the very end. The plot twists and turns are unexpected, making it impossible to predict what will happen next.
“The pacing is perfect, keeping you on the edge of your seat throughout.”
A third, also with a 9/10 rating, called the film ‘awesome’ and ‘gruesome’, saying: “This is one movie where gore needed to be allowed to drive home a certain point.
