Netflix viewers tuning in for the second season of The Night Agent have been less than pleased with it.
Critics have been singing the praises of the second season, with it sitting at a critic score of 90 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
But with a fan score of 47 percent at the moment, a reduction of 31 percent from season one, it is clear that it isn’t sticking as much as Netflix would have hoped.
Many fans were being critical of the show for its portrayal of Rose and Farhad. Particularly, some viewers have noticed what they consider to be a 'plot hole' in season two, which they believe is ‘ruining’ the new episodes.

The show follows Peter, played by Gabriel Basso, an FBI agent who is plunged into a full-on conspiracy. He is a ‘Night Agent’, tasked with manning an overnight hotline at the White House.
Rose Larkin is one of the main characters alongside Peter, played by Luciane Buchanan, and in season two, she searches for him after he goes to ground following a botched mission. Not even FBI head honcho Catherine knows where he is.
While Peter is trained in counter-surveillance and evades the FBI, Rose uses her tech wizardry to track him down - and this is what apparently had irked many.

One viewer posted on Twitter saying: “So the entire FBI couldn't locate Peter but Rose found him in a few hours?”
Accompanied with a confused gif, one fan responded, saying: “Made no sense.”
Her character has been a common sore spot for Night Agent fans in season two, with one replying: “I'm sorry but Rose is ruining #TheNightAgentS2 for me.”

Though a common complaint around fans, critics were full of praise for season two.
Jack Seale of The Guardian said: “These dynamics are different but, once it gets back up to speed, The Night Agent is the same show, endearingly unpretentious and focused purely on a narrative that has no frills, but no fat on it either.”
Kaiya Shunyata wrote for RogerEbert.com and had similarly high praise, saying: “The stakes in The Night Agent finally feel palpable; because of this, the series has reached its potential as thrilling and well-written action.”
This was not unanimous though, with FandomWire’s M.N. Miller saying: “The second season of The Night Agent is yet another overrated instalment in this hackneyed spy series.”

Regardless of whether you love or hate it, the show perseveres nonetheless.
Nearly a week on from its release, the show sits at the top of Netflix’s TV rankings, and season three has already been greenlit.
The Night Agent season two is available to watch on Netflix now.
