The final season of You is almost here and Netflix has dropped an exciting update for Joe Goldberg enthusiasts.
While fans will question why their favourite TV show is coming to an end, executive producers Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter sadly insisted that they 'always conceived it as a five-season journey'.
For those who haven't caught up or ever watched the show, spoilers ahead.
Last season, Joe (Penn Badgley) relocated to London to start over as college professor Jonathan Moor after faking his death.

At the end of season four, the anti-hero who kills for love, finally accepted he is not a good man.
And as the series reached its conclusion, fans will remember that Joe returned to New York City with his wealthy partner, Kate (Charlotte Ritchie).
Now, on Monday (25 March), Netflix announced that the fifth and final season has officially entered production, along with a couple of big changes to Penn Badgley's character.

Netflix has since shared a picture of a clean-shaved Goldberg walking around the streets of NYC, where his story began.
We also know that season five will introduce Joe’s new extended family, Griffin Matthews will play the brother of Joe’s new wife Kate, as Madeline Brewer stars as a young woman who makes Joe reconsider his new life.
Surprisingly, ahead of the new season, executive producer Sera Gamble, who created You with Berlanti, has announced she is stepping down.
“As I step back from day-to-day showrunning to focus on new projects, I’m immensely grateful to co-creator and all-around genius Greg Berlanti, Caroline Kepnes, my friends at Berlanti Productions and Alloy Entertainment, and our steadfast partners at Warner Bros and Netflix,” she said.
