Comedian Nick Cannon revealed he has had a consultation for a vasectomy ahead of the imminent arrival of his eighth child.
Some people struggle to get their head around handling one child, let alone eight, but as Cannon and his girlfriend Bre Tiesi prepare for their new little bundle of joy the father assured he finds 'peace' and 'purpose' in his children, who range between 11 years old and 11 months old.
Dealing with pre-teen emotions at the same time as the so-called 'terrible twos' is definitely a situation worthy of a lot of praise, and Cannon admitted that while he doesn't know if he 'would've designed it this way', he can't deny he had been 'blessed with the gift of children'.

Speaking to E! News' Daily Pop on 17 May, Cannon continued: "As we all know, I've been through so much, I find solace, I find peace in my children and I find purpose. So, I'm not out here looking."
While his children have brought him joy, Cannon revealed he has been to have a consultation regarding his future child-creating abilities, saying: "I already went and got my vasectomy consultation. I ain't looking to populate the Earth completely, but I'm definitely looking forward to taking care and loving all the children that I currently have."
Cannon, who welcomed four children in 2021, went on to admit he has 'guilt of not having enough time to spend' with his children as a result of having to juggle work and family life, 'especially right now when they're younger'.

However, the father made clear he spends time with them when he is able, saying: "We was doing little league with my 5-year-old [Golden Cannon] this weekend. We got swim practice this week. I take my kids to school every morning. I FaceTime. Two weeks ago, [twins Moroccan and Monroe Cannon, 11] had their birthday party. We shut down Six Flags."
Cannon helps his children to pursue their musical and artistic interests and joked that the public were 'definitely gonna see some Cannons on the screen and hear their music'.
"I'm going to have to recoup some of this," he continued, "so they gonna be some talented babies."

In December 2021, Cannon announced that his five-month-old son, Zen, had passed away after being diagnosed with a brain tumour. He announced Tiesi's pregnancy the following month, though later apologised for the way he shared the news and assured he always hopes to 'protect and respect the privacy of the mothers of all my children… whether that’s someone who’s new or someone who’s had my child."
The new baby will be Cannon's first with Tiesi.
