A lad has proposed to his girlfriend on the Parklife stage during Yung Filly’s set at the festival on Saturday, 11 June.
The brave guy, named Myles Goodfellow, won a competition to go backstage at the Manchester event before heading up to the main stage with the California-based singer to pop the question to his other half, Indy Geraghty.

Onlookers soon took to social media to share their shock at the very public token of affection at the two-day music event, with one person writing: “Wasn’t even inside Parklife 5 mins and we saw someone get engaged watching Yung Filly.”

“Proposal at Parklife hahahahahaa f*** off,” someone quipped.
Someone else appeared jealous at the main-stage proposal, tweeting: “Man I wish I got proposed to at Yung Filly.”
Others sent their well-wishes to the couple, with another onlooker penning: “Congratulations! Blessings for your wonderful life together.”
“Soo happy for you both, congratulations,” a friend of Indy wrote on Facebook.

“Congratulations Indy,” another commented.
Myles’ sister Holly, however, also filmed the special moment and wrote on social media: “Just my brother casually proposing on the main stage at Parklife. That’s one way to do it!”
The performer even got involved, commenting on the proposal on his Instagram: “Someone proposed in my set! So sick.”

The happy couple have been dating since February 2015, according to social media – with Myles recently taking the plunge and taking the next step in their relationship over the weekend.
With around 80,000 pairs of eyes on him, the hopeful husband-to-be joined Yung Filly, born Andres Felipé Barrientos, who has garnered mainstream attention on the likes of TikTok and YouTube.
The singer has also been featured on TV shows like Celebrity Bake Off, as well as taking part in Soccer Aid in 2020.
During his set at the festival, Yung Filly performed hit tracks like 'Again', as well as playing his latest single 'Long Time'.

Also heading up the main stage at Parklife on Saturday were performers Loyle Carner, ArrDee, Headie One and Mahalia.
Wrapping up the first night was rap icon 50 Cent, who played his tracks 'In Da Club' and 'Candy Shop' during the finale set.
On Sunday, festival goers are set to see Arlo Parks, Lewis Capaldi and Megan Thee Stallion before Tyler, the Creator heads up the main stage as the headline act – where he is expected to play tracks from his latest album CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST.
