As presale for tickets to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour begins, Aussie fans trying to get their hands on a ticket have broken a new record.
By 8:30am more than 800,000 Swifties were in Ticketek's virtual ‘lounge queue’, setting a new record for the queue in Australia.
And that was a whole hour and a half before tickets for Swift’s two Sdyney concerts went on sale.

Ticketek confirmed, during the presale, that they were still operating with a statement on Twitter reading: “The Ticketek site is working, and fans are successfully purchasing tickets.”
Although a limited American Express presale opened Monday, the site crashed and was only selling the exclusive VIP packages.
For Swifties who couldn’t secure tickets, Shake It Off because further tickets will be released to the general public Friday 12pm.

The Eras Tour marks the sixth time the 12-time Grammy winner has brought her tour Down Under and to say fans are keen to catch a glimpse of her is clearly an understatement.
Swift is set to perform five shows in Australia next year, with two shows in Melbourne on 16 and 17 February and three shows in Sydney from 23 - 25 of February.
Both the NSW Government and the Victorian Government have implemented anti-scalping measures to prevent scalpers from profiting off fake tickets.
