Ryan Reynolds is gearing up for the upcoming release of his sci-fi film The Adam Project, which is already tipped to be the movie of the year.
The Deadpool actor will be seen playing lead character Adam, a time-traveller who crashes into the past trying to save the future.
The movie will also see the likes of Marvel’s Zoe Saldaña and Mark Ruffalo and 13 Going on 30's Jennifer Garner in the film.

Despite the film hosting some of the biggest names in showbiz, The Adam Project won’t actually be released in cinemas and is instead a Netflix exclusive.

What are the reviews like for The Adam Project?
The results are in for The Adam Project. Rotten Tomatoes has given the film 71% on the tomatometer, while the audience score is a whopping 93%. Very promising indeed.

Meanwhile, Metacritic have given the film 56 on their Metascore, while the audience on their site is yet to weigh in on The Adam Project, being that the release date is still a day away at the time of writing.
Furthermore, early reviews for the film were promising, with CinemaBlend’s Mike Reyes confirming the movie is full of “pure blockbuster thrills, some beautiful family drama & A TON of fast paced snark [sic]”.
The publication’s managing director Sean O’Connell said he was “blown away” by the movie.

He called The Adam Project a “whimsical, imaginative, and original Sci-fi with the edge of [Ryan Reynold’s] razor-sharp sarcasm”.
Ashley Saunders wrote that the film “is a sci-fi adventure, comedy, & heartwarming drama all rolled into 1 [sic]”.
NextFlicks even gave the film an 8.5/10 rating.
