A woman who has watched more than a thousand horror movies has given her pick of the best of the bunch. You can see her recommendations here:
TikTok user @madyplaysgames has bravely sat through hour after hour of scary movies and she's now on-hand to offer her top choices, if you're in the market for scaring yourself silly any time soon.
Mady begins her list of horror flicks that 'genuinely scared' her with 1998 Japanese movie Ringu, which went on to inspire The Ring - she reckons if you enjoyed The Ring then you should definitely check this out.
She also suggests The Orphanage, a Spanish supernatural horror movie from 2007, which she claims 'scared the absolute crap' out of her - high praise indeed.
Mady follows this suggestion with the 2015 found-footage film Hell House LCC, which she says is 'really underrated'.
Her next choice is another foreign flick, REC - a Spanish film which inspired Quarantine but is 'far superior' in Mady's opinion.
She then picks another found-footage film, this time the much more well-known Blair Witch Project.
Mady explains: "I don't care what anyone says, this is always going to be the scariest movie I've ever seen.
"I grew up when people were made to feel like this was a real documentary and it sticks with you."
In a second video, Mady suggests 2008 movie The Strangers, which she says 'scared me to the core'.
She follows this suggestion with Midnight Meat Train, which stars former footballer Vinnie Jones and is a 'real hidden gem', according to our movie buff.
The super creepy zombie movie 28 Days Later is her next choice; she follows this with 2013's A Tale of Two Sisters which she promises will give you 'that heavy in the chest feeling'. Sounds... erm... great?
She rounds out her list with the iconic 1978 horror movie The Exorcist - I mean, it's a classic for a reason, isn't it?
So, there you go, if you fancy a horror fest anytime soon, you've got a decent list to work your way through - and you can always follow @madyplaysgames for more recommendations.
