Alexandra Daddario has spoken about an infamous scene in True Detective that changed her career forever, admitting she was shocked by the reaction she got from it.
Unless you’ve been under a rock recently, you’ll know who Daddario is.
The actor has starred in the likes of White Lotus, Baywatch and even Percy Jackson, though many may also know her from hit series True Detective.

The 38-year-old was cast to play Lisa Tragnetti, detective Marty Hart's (Woody Harrelson) on-screen mistress in the smash 2014 crime drama.
The anthology series, created by Nic Pizzolatto, follows police officers and detectives around the US as they investigate murder cases.
In the scene in question, Tragnetti is visited by detective Hart at her house when he gifts her a pair of handcuffs…which are then used. If you catch my drift.

After receiving the handcuffs, she puts them on the detective, strips naked and straddles him before reading him his rights.
If you thought Daddario was uncomfortable with the nudity, think again.
She actually fully embraced it.
However, she has come out to say recently that she wasn’t aware about her ‘sex appeal’ before that infamous scene and was subsequently shocked by the reaction she received.

Speaking to the Men's Journal, she said: "I have a lot of thoughts on this topic, but for example, when True Detective came out and I was naked on the show, and it was huge for my career and the phone was ringing and I got some work off of it.
"I think that I hadn’t been that aware of my sex appeal prior to that. I tried not to take it too seriously. I really love acting, in my heart I’m just a theatre nerd, and I sort of took that and said, ‘This is good for my career,’ and embraced it."
She added: "I really love what I do. I happen to have a lot of fun with getting dressed up and playing roles, and even on red carpets, I’m kind of playing a role. And it’s great, it’s fun, but I think it can be negative, some of the attention, and so I try to ignore some of the more negative aspects of it."
