Black Mirror is nearly back in action with its seventh season, but it’s coming in with an ultimate first.
While every episode of the anthology series - which began in 2011 - has been shocking, brilliantly written and completely distinct from one another, the creator has revealed that the show is about to embark on a something new.
Earlier this week Netflix announced the news of its return along with a teaser captioned: "Black Mirror S7 - coming 2025. #GeekedWeek."
And creator Charlie Brooker has since spilled the beans on a major change for the upcoming season.

So, remember how we said that each episode is different from one another?
Well, as it turns out, that’s not going to be the case anymore as one episode is going to get the special treatment.
As per Tudum, Brooker, who was attending Geeked Week as a host on the stage, said: “Fans of the show will recognize the cast of a certain spaceship from one of our episodes reappearing.
“We’ve done a sequel for the first time in Black Mirror history. Normally, I kill off all the characters at the end of an episode, and I kept some of ’em alive. I’m growing as a human.”

If you’re wondering which lucky episode is getting the expansion, it’s the 'USS Callister' storyline from season four, episode one.
Viewers will remember this one as Daly’s (Jesse Plemons) mind was destroyed, in the end and Nanette (Cristin Milioti) took off into space after she spoke to Gamer691, AKA, Aaron Paul who wanted to ‘blast them to s**t’.
So, the sequel will likely have the two squaring off against one another.

While it’s an exciting prospect, it appears some fans aren’t too happy with the seventh season and it’s not even out yet.
Even though it set to be released next year, a few seem pretty p*ssed that there is a star-studded cast.
“We’ve got an embarrassingly stacked cast,” Brooker admitted.
Netflix announced the lead cast, consisting of: Cristin Milioti, Awkwafina, Peter Capaldi, Emma Corrin, Paul Giamatti, Rashida Jones, Billy Magnussen, Chris O’Dowd, Issa Rae, and Harriet Walter, among many others.

But don’t you miss the good old days when you didn’t have a clue who the actors were, and then watched their career explode thanks to the success of Black Mirror?
Apparently, some people feel the same way about the hit TV show.
One person wrote online: "Black Mirror was better with non famous actors I can't explain why."

Someone replied: "Interesting how the newer seasons seem to rely a lot on big name actors and actresses in headlines just to hype us up for episodes."
While others were more than happy with the big names as one fan said: "IS THIS THE CAST FOR THE NEW SEASON?????? omg Tracee Ellis Ross and Issa Rae and Paul Giamatti ????"
Another added: "Peter Capaldi! Wonderful."
And someone else penned: "Letssss go, finally."
Black Mirror season seven is set to be released in 2025.
