We have a new Britain's Got Talent winner, and to be honest, the result wasn't really in all that much doubt.
Sydnie Christmas was the favourite to win it going into the final, and she ended up going on to claim that £250,000 prize as well as a customary slot on the Royal Variety Performance.
Christmas sang 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' to clinch her victory, and some Britain's Got Talent fans were convinced she had it in the bag as she was the last person to perform.

Among the BGT viewership are those who reckon that the later in a final an act goes the more votes they're likely to get, so going on last means you're freshest in the voting public's mind.
One fan even took to social media to show that out of 17 winners, eight of them were the act who performed last in the final, while another four went second-to-last.

However, those watching along at home had another bee in their bonnet about the way the show did things as Ant and Dec announced the order in which contestants had come in the voting.
The presenters went up the list in reverse order, with a leaderboard on the screen behind them so everyone knew where they'd come in the voting.
That's all well and good if you're wanting to know who was more popular than who, but some viewers thought it must have been a bit tough for the likes of Haribow, who knew they came stone dead last.
Some of them went online to vent their frustrations, saying they thought it was a bit 'cruel' and 'savage' to list every act.

Someone else said they reckoned there should only be an announcement of who made it into the top three and to go from there.
It'd certainly make the BGT final go by a little quicker if they told everyone else who hadn't made it into the final three that it wasn't going to be them before we got to the suspense.
Then again, they've got a long runtime to fill and people in the audience seemed to enjoy the drawn-out process.
