Look, what you might deem the ‘best show’ on TV may be very different for everyone else. We’ve all got our own favourites.
And when it comes to those series which are gone but not forgotten, it’s the same, but there are some we can agree were taken from us too soon.
Plus, despite us loving and missing the cancelled TV show, it sometimes seems impossible to ever watch it again unless you’re lucky enough to have the old DVDs. Or, if you’re willing to splash out, you can often pay to rent each episode.

But it’s the lucky day for many fans as the ‘best cancelled show in history' with an all-star cast is now free to stream for Brits.
In 2000, an American teen comedy drama ‘abruptly ended’. Freaks and Geeks featured a whole host of stars, including Linda Cardellini, Jason Segel, Busy Philipps, James Franco, Seth Rogen and Shia LaBeouf.
The Paul Feig-created series had just one season, with NBC only ever airing 12 out of the 18 episodes. It follows a group of high school students in the 80s, facing ‘a multitude of social struggles’.

It’s been slammed that Freaks and Geeks was given poor time slots in scheduling and wasn’t well marketed. And with the broadcaster and the creators having differing views, the show ended up being cancelled.
But despite its short life, TV lovers praise it as ‘the best cancelled television show in history’ and it received Emmy and Television Critics Association nominations.
Freaks and Geeks also appeared on Time magazine’s 2007 ‘100 Greatest Shows of All Time’ as well as a number of other similar lists.

Even Rolling Stone named it the 11th-greatest television series of all time in 2016.
And now, Brits can finally stream it for free as the show has been added to itvX. Yep, all 18 episodes of Freaks and Geeks have been uploaded to the platform.
The series currently has a perfect 100 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer, with an impressive 96 percent average audience score.

On IMDB, viewers say the show was simply ‘too exceptional to be allowed to remain on TV’ as plenty questioned: “How did it not last?”
Users also praise it as ‘one of the most honest portrayals of high school life’ as others wrote: “Long live Freaks and Geeks!”
You can now stream Freaks and Geeks on itvX.
