Let’s be honest, it feels like ages since plans for the special Harry Potter TV show were announced.
And for Potterheads already getting tired of waiting, there’s still a way to go as it apparently isn't going to be released until all the way in 2026.
But to keep fans of the Wizarding World going, little titbits of information and speculation around the cast seems to be getting teased.

And a star of the Harry Potter films has revealed they would ‘certainly consider’ returning for the TV reboot under one condition.
While Daniel Radcliffe previously admitted there wasn’t much chance of him making an appearance in the Max Original series, one of his co-stars could be cropping up.
Fans have of course been scrambling to figure out if any of the original cast would be appearing and now Matthew Lewis has addressed that possibility.

The 34-year-old played Neville Longbottom in the original films, the young hero.
He told PEOPLE: “It’s not something I’m looking at or want to do but would not turn my nose up at.”
Ok, so, not necessarily the most promising but there’s still hope, right?
Lewis said he’s not ‘in any rush to go back to the world’ of Harry Potter, but there is a chance he could be swayed to do it.

“I’d be very interested to see if it was Neville as an adult – a whole different vibe,” he explained.
“That could be interesting. I would certainly look at that and consider it.”
The new Harry Potter series will be based on all seven instalments of the original books, with each season said to follow each one.

So, yes, that means there could be a whopping seven seasons to get hooked on.
Speaking during a previous financial call, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav spoke about the much-anticipated new project.
“We’ve not been shy about our excitement around Harry Potter. The last film was made more than a dozen years ago,” he said.

“I was in London a few weeks ago with Casey [Bloys, President, HBO series] and Channing [Dungey, Chairman and CEO of the Warner Bros. Television Group] and we spent some real time with J. K. [Rowling] and her team.
"Both sides are thrilled to be reigniting this franchise. Our conversations were great, and we couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead.
“We can’t wait to share a decade of new stories with fans around the world on Max. We’re aiming for a debut in 2026.”
Well, I guess fans will have to wait a little longer to see if Lewis does appear.
