Earlier this year we were all baffled by a documentary about an ‘adopted child’ accused of actually being a 22-year-old woman.
And now, a follow-up series will see the woman herself offering up her side of the story.
In case you were not as hooked on this as a lot of others, we’re talking about Natalia Grace who was adopted by Americans Kristine and Michael Barnett back in 2010.

They were told the six-year-old Ukrainian had a rare bone growth disorder but later claimed she was an adult and had a judge legally re-age her as a 22 in 2012.
Grace is opening up for the first time in The Curious Case of Natalia Grace: Natalia Speaks which the US will get on Investigation Discovery on 1 January 2024 – making for a great New Years’ Day binge for Americans.

There are also Standard Pass and Premium Pass subscriptions which offer more features – mostly wider access to sports and being ad-free.
During the upcoming documentary, a specialist shares ‘indisputable proof’ of Grace’s real age.
Viewers will see her visiting an age specialist from TruDiagnostics, Dr Halland Chen.

She undergoes various medical and diagnostic tests to confirm her true biological age, potentially giving us the answer we’ve all been itching for.
“I've known the truth for as long as I can remember, that I was a kid,” Grace says.
“I just want people to really see the truth about my age.”

The woman is emotional as he shares the results.
“Based off of all the studies and everything being analysed, you’re more closer to 22,” he tells her, adding: “Which is pretty close to what you think, [that] you’re almost 20 – that's within 2 years.”
This ‘proof’ of her ‘real age’ throws ‘every single lie that the Barnetts have said right into the trash,’ according to Grace.

She emotionally says: “This is so big. This has literally been 13 years of just two people lying their butts off, they painted me as some big monster, when they were the ones.”
If what Dr Chen says is true, it would in fact mean Grace was about seven when the American couple adopted her.
The Curious Case of Natalia Grace: Natalia Speaks premieres on Investigation Discovery on 1 January 2024 in the US and will hit Discovery Plus some time in 2024 in the UK.
