The thing about any kind of makeover programme - whether it be fashion, hair or home decor - you can never predict just how a person is going to react.
Sure, most of the time these kinds of shows reveal people breaking down in tears of happiness at their brand-new garden, their new haircut or the new wallpaper in their living rooms.
But, lucky for us viewers, that's not always the case.

In fact, a clip from what has been dubbed the 'best home makeover reaction ever' is doing the rounds again, and all we can say is it certainly deserves the title:
The clip comes from an episode of BBC's Your Home In Their Hands, which ran between 2014 and 2015, and followed homeowners who were brave enough to hand over their keys to interior designers on national TV in exchange for a free makeover.
It goes without saying that style is subjective, and in this particular episode, John Geoghegan and his wife Rachel discover that you can't always trust the experts.

The episode first aired in 2015, but the £15,000 renovation has been living rent free in people's memories ever since - thanks to John's less than enthusiastic reaction.
When host Celia Sawyer asked what the married couple thought of their bedroom's new look and feel, John quickly responded: "Nah, it's too much. For me, it's too busy."
"I wouldn't have done anything like it and I don't like it. You're supposed to be able to sleep in a bedroom and it's like a kid's play area.

"I think it looks horrendous, it doesn't look anything like a bedroom. Sorry but it's a big thumbs down from me.
"It's hideous, I think it's even too much for Rachel if she was to tell the truth."
Rachel is less forthcoming with her feedback though, saying: "I do like the bed and the wardrobes. I like the theme of it. I like the lights."

But John is having none of it and can't believe the betrayal.
"It's rank," he says, shaking his head. "I don't like it at all, definitely not."
Then - having been prodded by Sawyer - Rachel adds: "I think it will grow on us. I do like the bed and the wardrobes. I did ask for colour."
However, John makes it clear it won't have time to grow on them though, because he's gonna change it as soon as.

When asked what message he would give the designer, he says: "Don't touch the other room."
