Chandler and Monica had plenty of highs and lows during the course of Friends.
However, we could have had a scene that would have made everyone think very differently about Matthew Perry's character.
In the wake of his death, an actor who nearly appeared on the long-running TV series has opened up about the script that Perry refused to do.

Lisa Cash was cast as the other woman who was set to appear on the episode 'The One In Vegas'.
This was a two-part episode that became the finale of season five and was set in Sin City.
Cash told TMZ: "The scene was Chandler and Monica [Courteney Cox] were arguing in Vegas about Monica having lunch with Richard [Tom Selleck]."

Lisa was meant to be a hotel worker who goes to Chandler's room after he ordered room service.
She revealed that the two were supposed to start 'talking, laughing and connecting'.
However, shockingly, Chandler was then meant to cheat on Monica as revenge for seeing Richard.
"We had rehearsed it and everything, and then the day before we were shooting in front of a live audience, I was told that [Perry] went to the writers and said the audience will never forgive him for cheating on Monica, which, he was probably right," she explained.

"That would have changed possibly the course of the show, and of his character."
The episode ends up very differently as Chandler and Monica reconciled in part two.
Monica said she will never see Richard again and she ended up playing at the craps table.

Chandler kept making wild promises every time Monica won and it culminated in him suggesting he would marry her if she rolled a hard eight.
While the result of the next throw was in doubt, they agreed it was an eight and they decided to get hitched.
The episode ended with Monica and Chandler heading to a chapel to say their vows and they have to wait because it's currently in use.
As the ceremony in question ends, Ross and Rachel, who are very drunk, walk out after seemingly getting married themselves.

You can imagine the uproar that would have happened if Chandler cheated on Monica and we might not have been given the scenes towards the end of the show that made us bawl our eyes out.
