Fans of Narcos and the more recent Griselda series are being urged to give another gritty series a watch.
The newly released Netflix series Griselda, which is inspired by the life of the infamous Griselda Blanco, has proved to be a big hit with fans and quickly made its way into the most watched list on the streaming platform.
Griselda is created by Narcos’ showrunner Eric Newman, who has previously said that he was drawn to the ‘fascinating character’ while conducting research for Narcos.

But if you’ve already binge-watched your way through Narcos and Griselda and you’re looking for a new crime drama series to sink your teeth into, then you may want to check out Gomorrah.
Set in Naples, Italy, in the 2010s ,Gomorrah is based upon the book of the same name by journalist Roberto Saviano - who also created the series.
The show centres on the Camorra crime syndicate, which has amassed a fortune through cocaine, corruption and chemical waste.
When the head of the clan is arrested, an internal power struggle breaks out within the ranks of Camorra between the ‘old guard’ and the ‘young guard’ - as well as from rival gangs.

Fans of the series have taken to X to pour praise on the show with one person saying: “I can’t remember who said to watch Gomorrah after I had watched Narcos, but whoever it was cheers. It’s fantastic. Can’t stop watching it now.”
Another said: “I've watched series 1 to 4 of Gomorrah. One of the best TV series ever! Now I'm at a loss without my nightly feast of Neapolitan Camorra skullduggery and violence (all done with Italian panache).”

While someone else wrote: “Starting to feel like a stuck record and been championing this show for years, but Gomorrah season 4 is the best thing on TV. @SalvioEspo dominates throughout.
“As brutally authentic as it gets without having to take a bullet in the back of your noggin' in Secondigliano…”
If you fancy giving it a watch yourself, Gomorrah is available to stream on Sky Atlantic or Now in the UK.
