The first trailer for the seventh season of Rick and Morty has dropped and it looks incredible.
The clip splices up loads of scenes that have played out over the past six instalments and it's a very Rick-heavy teaser.

It appears to indicate that season seven will focus heavily on the Smith family patriarch and his origin story.
He's been on a mission to find his ultimate Rick nemesis and we might get to see how he went from sweet, scientific father to a multiverse-jumping legend.
People have gone wild for the short snippet and now can't wait for the season to land on streaming services.
One said: "Best news I could wake up to today."

While there were loads of fans who were cheering at the new material, others weren't happy that it will be the first season without co-creator Justin Roiland.
A viewer commented: "Rick and Morty without Roiland is Sopranos without Gandolfini."
Another quipped: "Rick and Morty will be so bad without Justin Roiland I can feel it."
Roiland was dropped from the show and others earlier this year after it was revealed he was charged with domestic violence.

The writer and voice actor pleaded not guilty to one felony count of domestic battery with corporal injury and one felony count of false imprisonment by menace, violence, fraud and/or deceit.
The charges were eventually dropped due to a lack of evidence, however work was underway to find a replacement for all of Roiland's characters.
Cartoon Network president Michael Ouweleen and Rick and Morty producer Steve Levy confirmed he would be replaced in the upcoming season, according to the French outlet Premiere.

They shared they were still in the ‘recruitment phase’ for finding a new voice actor.
“It's a rather unique situation," Ouweleen said.
"I'll take an example: there have been several great Bugs Bunny voice actors, and I love what Jeff Bennett has done with them.
"But it's not Mel Blanc! And yet we recognize the character. I even think that for Rick and Morty we will do even better... It will be fine. It'll be great."
We'll have to wait and see whether the new Rick stacks up to the old one from previous seasons and whether fans will stick around.
