The woman who played the sun baby in Teletubbies has had a baby.
When Jess Smith played the Teletubbies sun baby, she would have been completely unaware of what was to come.

The actor was just nine months old when she lit up the sky and made baby noises in the original series.
According to Jess, while she was being weighed at the hospital, the producers of Teletubbies were there on the same day looking for smiley babies, and that is how she ended up playing the role.
"I was being weighed at the hospital," she previously told BBC South East.

“My mum took me and it just happened to be the same time that the producer of the old series had come in and wanted the hospital to get in contact with them if they’d seen any smiley babies.”
The sun baby went on to be an iconic part of the children's TV programme and was usually shown giggling at the beginning of each episode.
Now, taking to Instagram on Monday (15 January), Jess - who is reportedly now in her 20s - posted a heartwarming pic of her holding her newborn's hand.
Without revealing the sex of the baby, she wrote in the caption: "One whole week of you."

"Congratulations, 'Mrs. Sun'!" another added.

"Proud of you," someone else commented.
"Welcome to the world, baby," another said.
Last year when Jess announced she was pregnant, she said she felt 'overwhelmed' with the support from her fans.
"I am feeling overwhelmed with the amount of love I am receiving from people around the world," Smith told Entertainment Tonight.

"I have received countless messages congratulating me and wishing us well for the future."
"I am still overwhelmed with the amount of people who have watched and are watching Teletubbies, the amount of messages I receive and hearing the stories told by people around the world," she continued.
Smith also told the outlet that she'd pass the series on to her child, adding: "She will be watching my version of Teletubbies."
Teletubbies ran for 365 shows from 1997 to 2001 - and Jess' sun baby was replaced by a girl called Berry in the newer episodes.
