It's not uncommon to be sat watching a programme and say 'Where do I recognise them from?'
Oftentimes, this thought will prompt you to hit pause on the show and do a quick search of the show's IMDb page.
But viewers watching The Gentlemen didn't have to do any digging to recall where they'd seen one of its primary stars... because, well, how could we forget?
Sharing the same title as the 2019 film starring Matthew McConaughey, Colin Farrell and Hugh Grant, The Gentlemen is created, co-written and executive produced by Guy Ritchie.

The series sees Ritchie team up with Vinnie Jones again, having previously worked together on Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
Speaking about his new series, Ritchie said: “The world of The Gentlemen is a little bit of me. I’m thrilled that with Netflix, Miramax and Moonage we have this opportunity to inhabit it once again.
"We’re looking forward to bringing fans back into that world, introducing new characters and their stories and I am excited to be doing it with this extremely talented cast."

And which member of the cast have people clocked on to?
None other than Theo James of course.
At a glance, you'd probably think James has been noticed for his dashing good looks, or perhaps his fine acting ability.
Not quite the case, unfortunately.

If you throw your mind back to 2011, you may recall James' appearance in The Inbetweeners Movie.
There he plays James, a holiday rep who ends up dating Carli, the girl that Simon longed for.
He spends most of the film being a k**b and pushing around the four leads as they try to enjoy a holiday in Malia.

In the end, he gets his comeuppance when he borrows a 20 euro note off Jay to do some coke.
Unfortunately for him, that note had been stuffed up Jay's bum - leaving him a bit of poo hanging off his nose.
The Oscar is in the post, I'm sure.
Once viewers of The Gentlemen made the connection, they took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their reactions.

One person commented: “I still need to watch the film and I can’t look at Theo James the same again after the inbetweeners movie.” Fair enough.
Another said: “James from the Inbetweeners movie in the same series as Gustavo Fring. Fairs.”
A third commented: “I CANNOT unsee theo James with poo stuck to the end of his nose from the Inbetweeners movie, I CAN’T UNSEE IT! Every time I look at him he has poo on the end of his nose.”
That's one way to be remembered as an actor, I suppose.
