A new, free streaming platform has just launched in the UK and it's set to rival the likes of Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+.
With so many different streaming services offering paid-for content, the price Brits are paying to have multiple different subscriptions can start racking up pretty quickly.
Which is why the new platform, Tubi, is set to be a big hit thanks to its free content.

And there's one section of Tubi in particular that's expected to be hugely popular.
The platform launched yesterday (2 July) in the UK and holds over 20,000 movies and TV shows.
It's entirely free, thanks to being funded by adverts.

The content catalogue includes loads of Tubi originals, as well as content from the likes of Disney, Lionsgate, NBCUniversal and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
Anjali Sud, chief executive officer of the streaming service, said: “Tubi has spent the last decade honing our approach to vast, free and fun streaming in North America, and we feel that now is the perfect time to bring that recipe to UK audiences.
“We are launching with one of the largest and most diverse content libraries in the UK, designed to indulge viewers in everything from blockbusters to original stories to hidden gems.
“Most importantly, we’re committed to listening to what resonates with UK fans, and bringing them more and more of what they love.”
Speaking of what we love, we all know that Brits are obsessed with a book adaptation.

Which is why we're predicting the 'Based on a Book' section of Tubi will be popular among viewers.
For example, the Twilight films, starring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, are on the streamer, as well as Gulliver's Travels, The Borrowers and The Beguiled.
Tubi has been brought to the UK by Rupert Murdoch’s Fox Corporation, but it already exists in the US, where it claims to have almost 80 million active users every month.

David Salmon, managing director of international at Tubi, said: “At a time when traditional programming feels homogenous and when finding what to watch feels like a chore, Tubi has been effective at delivering delight beyond the monoculture with content that appeals to diverse and vibrant fandoms.
“We believe that we can build a brilliantly broad, culturally ambitious offering that puts UK audiences back at the centre, and makes it fun and easy to enjoy great entertainment from around the world.”
