Tonight’s episode of Virgin Island will see one of the participants of the show lose their virginity to one of the surrogate partners on the show.
Virgin Island has a major twist on previous dating shows involving virgins, with the therapists involved in coaching the participants being willing to be physically intimate with them, and in some cases even have sex.
This marks the second time in the show’s history that someone has lost their virginity, with Dave from season one being the only one to have sex.
In the episode airing tonight on Channel 4 however, 25-year-old Tegan becomes the first this season to take the plunge.

In a clip shared exclusively with LADbible, Tegan is shown looking nervous heading into her session with Risdon Roberts, the newest surrogate partner on the show.

Tegan went onto the show having not gone further than ‘drunken kisses’ in nightclubs, and had never gone past the first date.
The Scottish participant is an accountant and came out as gay seven years ago, saying in interviews prior to her experience on the TV show: “I lacked a lot of self-confidence, and I was lacking any sort of experience with sexual intimacy, so I was afraid of not knowing what I was doing in the bedroom.
“I hoped that I would gain more self confidence in talking to women and learning skills that would help my confidence when a relationship would eventually advance to the bedroom.

"I also hoped that I would learn to feel comfortable in my own skin and that I would be in a better place sexually and confidence-wise leaving the island than when I went in.”
In a prior session with Risdon, the 25-year-old accountant was asked to strip and ‘ogle’ the therapist, telling her she has to ‘get used to the female gaze’.
In the exclusive clip, which can be seen below, Risdon explains that Tegan defines losing her virginity as orgasming through the hands of someone else, and the 25-year-old and the surrogate partner do just that, as well as Tegan using a strap-on on Risdon.
Warning: The following clip contains explicit content.
Tegan remarks that it ‘did not take long’ for her to orgasm, going back to the other virgins to inform them she has lost her virginity, saying her ‘head is fried’ but that she feels like ‘jumping for joy’.
Now Tegan has lost her virginity she will likely be under strict rules that were placed on Dave after season one of the show.
Dave lost his virginity to Kat Slade in the show, and told the Daily Mail: “It was explained very clearly to us that you don’t stay in touch after – it’s sort of two weeks, and that’s it and then you move on.
“It’s not easy to just detach from feelings, but I think it’s an important lesson of it to like have those feelings and then let go of them, which probably is one of the most important lessons.”
Meet the Virgin Island sex therapists
Shelby Devlin, BDSM expert

The 39-year-old is a BDSM coach and kink expert who joined Virgin Island season two for a short stint halfway through.
She has a master’s degree in sexuality studies, along with 15 years’ experience as a sex educator.
She made her debut in yesterday’s episode (11 May), where she introduced the group to paddles, whips, collars and chains.
She also worked with Ed, 27, discussing the idea that he has a humiliation kink after being bullied as a child.
Risdon Roberts, surrogate partner therapist

Risdon, 42, born in Japan and now based in Los Angeles, actually started out as an actor, appearing in TV shows such as Bite Me and This Place is Weird, with her film work including Evidence and Cavemen.
She switched to a role behind the camera as an intimacy coordinator, before becoming a surrogate partner therapist.
She says she was inspired to take part in Virgin Island after seeing Kat Slade’s work on the previous show.
On her Instagram account, she says she primarily works ‘with cisgender heterosexual men to overcome sexual dysfunction and naïveté’.
She adds: “As a former man hater I unexpectedly went so deep as a feminist that I accidentally developed compassion for men and how systems of patriarchy hurt *them* to. Whoopsies.”
Kat Slade, surrogate partner therapist

Kat, 35, has returned for season two, explaining: “Seeing the real, lasting transformations from the first series made it feel great to come back.”
She is a Reiki practitioner and is trained in the Somatica Method, a body-based, experiential approach to sex therapy that goes beyond just talking therapy.
In season one, she was involved in an uncomfortable moment when one cast member’s behaviour in a session meant she had to end it immediately.
But she seems to have found her time on the work immensely rewarding for the most part, and she helped one 24-year-old man lose his virginity.
