To say Mickey Rourke’s first few days on Celebrity Big Brother has been less than successful might be the understatement of the century.
The Hollywood actor stoked controversy early on when he was accused of being ‘creepy’ towards the show’s host AJ Odudu.
Just two days later, Rourke made homophobic remarks towards internet star JoJo Siwa.

Rourke claimed that four days in the Big Brother house would turn Siwa ‘straight’ after she said she likes girls, before telling Chris Hughes he was going to ‘vote the lesbian out’.
The actor topped this off by saying he was going out for a ‘f*g’ before gesturing at the 21-year-old and telling her he ‘wasn’t talking about her’.
This whole scandal has raised one important question: why the f**k is Mickey Rourke on Celebrity Big Brother in the first place?
Why is Mickey Rourke doing Celebrity Big Brother?
While everyone will probably be saying ‘well, it’s probably the money, no?’, Mickey Rourke says otherwise.

Speaking to The Sun, the actor, who was nominated for an Oscar in 2008 for The Wrestler, said that his career was currently ‘in the toilet’.
He added: “I’ve made mistakes – many. I have nobody to blame for my ship sinking except myself.
“I’d like to be back where I can work on movies that have integrity.”
He also stated that he was sick of creating ‘really bad independent movies’ and chose the reality show over doing another one.
What probably doesn’t hurt is the reported £500,000 The Sun claim he is making for his time in the house.
Does Mickey Rourke get his money if he’s kicked out?

With calls rising for Mickey Rourke to be kicked out the house for his behaviour, it raises into question whether he will keep the £500,000.
The rules for Celebrity Big Brother are fairly clear, even if they’re the first kicked out the house, they keep the full amount as long as they don’t quit.
The one thing that, within the rules, prevents a celebrity from receiving their fee, is if they quit the show.
A number of celebrities, from Ray J, to Trisha Paytas, to Angie Bowie, have all left the show over the years, and if Rourke joins them, he will lose out on his half a million.
That said, the producers seem to be setting things up to solve their own problem.
