Mickey Rourke has left viewers of Celebrity Big Brother furious after leaving one of his housemates crying due to his poor behaviour.
Rourke, who is best known for his Oscar-nominated role in The Wrestler, has stoked controversy after his ‘creepy’ entrance into the house in which he pulled host AJ Odudu up against him and leered at her outfit. This led Odudu to tell him to ‘stop looking at her’ in a moment that drew outrage among viewers.
Well, now, Rourke has once again left fans calling for him to be removed, as it has been revealed that he receives a ‘strict warning’ in tonight’s episode after his use of homophobic language.
The source of controversy comes from tonight’s episode, as reported by The Independent, and Rourke’s interactions with online star JoJo Siwa.
It is reported that in the episode, Rourke asks Jojo whether she likes ‘boys or girls’, to which she respond saying that she likes girls and that her current partner is non-binary.
Rourke, who is 51 years older than JoJo, responds with a disgusting remark saying that ‘if [he stays] longer than four days, you won’t be gay anymore’.
The 21-year-old online personality responds saying that she can ‘guarantee’ that won’t happen.
Things do not end there however, with Rourke saying he is ‘going to vote the lesbian out real quick’ whilst talking with fellow contestant Chris Hughes.
JoJo Siwa is the subject of Rourke's homophobia in the episode (ITV) JoJo overhears this and calls out Rourke for his homophobia, saying: “That’s homophobic, if that was your reasoning.”
If this wasn’t bad enough however, the actor then goes smoking, saying he’s going for a f*g, before pointing to JoJo and saying: “I’m not talking to you.”
The moment left the 21-year-old internet star in tears, with Chris Hughes comforting her.
This led to Big Brother giving a strict warning to Rourke for his ‘unacceptable language and behaviour’, with the actor responding saying: “I apologise. I don’t have dishonourable intentions - I’m just talking smack, you know.
"I wasn’t taking it all so serious. I didn’t mean in it any bad intentions and if I did, sorry."
Mickey Rourke sparked controversy in the launch episode for his 'creepy' behaviour towards AJ Odudu (ITV) This follows already pre-existing calls for Rourke to be kicked off the show.
One post on Twitter reading out the exchange between the pair in full led furious viewers to call once again for him to be booted, with one responding saying: “What an evil leech.”
Another replied saying: “What a stupid casting decision. It was obvious on night one something like this would happen.”
Others were angry that he simply got a ‘formal warning’ saying he should be fully removed from the house.
One fan responded saying: “I’m sorry but what he did on launch day then this??? And it’s a formal warning nahhh.”
A second replied: “He should be removed for this. It’s Disturbing, particularly after how he was with AJ, too.”
