Usher Raymond IV, better known by his stage name Usher, is an American singer, songwriter, producer and actor who is responsible for many chart toppers over the last few decades.
Usher’s singing career began at a seriously early age, LaFace records signed him on the spot at 13 after he auditioned for them with Boyz II Men’s ‘End Of The Road’. After being sent to live with Puff Daddy at a singing/coaching ‘camp’ to help his voice adapt through puberty, Usher released his debut album in 1994 at 16 years old.
From then on, Usher’s career excelled impressively and his first certified gold and platinum single in the US, ‘Nice and Slow’, peaked at No.1 in January 1998. The album it came from, ‘You Make Me Wanna…’ has been certified as a six-time platinum.

Usher’s third album in 2001 saw the two lead singles ‘U Remind Me’ and ‘UGotItBack’ top the Billboard 100. Usher was awarded a Grammy for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for "U Remind Me", and he won the same award the next year for "U Don't Have to Call".
