Academy Awards executive producers, Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner, have revealed Jimmy Kimmel will be returning to host the 95th Oscars in 2023.
This will mark Kimmel’s third time hosting the ceremony, after hosting in 2017 and 2018, the latter of course being his comeback year after the infamous La La Land and Moonlight debacle.
The Jimmy Kimmel Live host will now sit amongst fellow three-time hosts Jerry Lewis, Steve Martin, David Niven and Conrad Nagel, with only Whoopi Goldberg, Jack Lemmon, Johnny Carson, Billy Crystal and Bob Hope having hosted more than three of the ceremonies.

“Being invited to host the Oscars for a third time is either a great honour or a trap. Either way, I am grateful to the Academy for asking me so quickly after everyone good said no,” said Kimmel.
Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy president Janet Yang said in a statement: “Jimmy is the perfect host to help us recognise the incredible artists and films of our 95th Oscars.
"His love of movies, live TV expertise, and ability to connect with our global audiences will create an unforgettable experience for our millions of viewers worldwide.”
Although the nominees are yet to be announced, Variety have predicted the nominees for each category, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress and Best Actor.
