People left feeling 'uncomfortable' after seeing GoPro footage of diver in underwater cave

It's not very safe in there, so don't try this yourself

GoPro footage from a diver exploring a submerged cave had people feeling very uncomfortable, largely because they thought he wasn't being safe at all.

On many occasions people have gone exploring with disastrous consequences and it's been their cameras which have captured the catastrophe.

Sometimes it's been the camera that has been recovered, the final shred of evidence pointing towards an unfortunate individual's final moments.

They capture near misses and dire disasters, but of course one of the worst consequences is people doing dangerous things for clout.

That's why footage of a diver venturing into a small underwater cave had so many people on edge as they were worried he was taking unnecessary risks, and all it takes is one mistake.

YouTuber Sammy shared footage of himself going into an underwater cave while he used some text-to-speech to provide narration.

The diver explained that he'd returned to the cave as it had been dark the last time he was there, showing off the claustrophobic cave interior and the churning of the water against the rocks inside.

This resulted in quite the response from his viewers, and probably not the one he was hoping for.

Of course some viewers called his generic YouTube video music 'annoying', while others picked apart his rather inane narration.

"'Why is it so dark?' I don't know, maybe because it is a f**king cave!" one wrote, while another joked that 'maybe the owner of the cave didn't pay the electricity bill'.

Someone else accused him of 'tryna make it scary with the music' and another agreed that it would be an interesting watch 'if there was no music or talking over the clip'.

Yet more voiced genuine concern for the safety of the diver, saying: "You broke so many rules.

"Never go caving alone, never go into a flooded cave, equipment???? Stay safe holy f**k."

Others said 'you should go back' and told the diver not to explore further into the cave, while someone else mocked them for appearing not to know which way to go just minutes after declaring that they were fully prepared.

"Plan the dive, dive the plan," as the saying goes.

Yet more said they were worried about the diver going in alone and getting too close to the churning water, telling them they'd be 'bashed around and crushed'.

On one of the YouTuber's other videos people were genuinely concerned as his most recent footage was some months ago and featured the same cave again.

If you're ever planning on going diving then follow six pieces of crucial advice from the RNLI.

You should be in appropriate physical condition to do the dive, and be sure that all of your gear is still working and up to standard.

Plan your dive properly and go with a buddy who can help you check your equipment.

Also make sure you can be spotted if you get into trouble and have a way of calling for help with you.
