The Batman star Zoë Kravitz has said she started ‘drinking milk from a bowl’ to really inhabit her role as Catwoman in the new film. You can see the trailer for The Batman below:
Of course, she’s probably taking the p***, but it does seem as if she went to some interesting lengths to get into character.

Appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the 33-year-old told how she used ‘method acting’ techniques to envelop herself into the Catwoman character after Fallon told her that he would start to ‘study cats’ and ‘drink milk out of a bowl’.
Kravitz quipped: “I did that!”
Fallon responded: “You did not!”
However, she was insistent.

Of course, when pressed further she only said ‘maybe’ before adding: "I’m method, dude."
We can pretty much rule that out then, but that doesn’t mean that she didn’t get into the character fully and do her research from the start.
The actor continued: “I watched a bunch of cat videos, feline videos, watching them fight.

“And what I was so interested in was the fact that you can’t read their faces at all, which is why I think people are kind of creeped out by them.
“You can’t tell what they’re going to do.”
Anyone who has a cat knows that is true.
As well as doing her research into cats, she was also encouraged to attempt to form a relationship with some of the cats that belong to her character Selina Kyle in the movie.

That involved being chucked in with them and hoping that they decided they could be a**ed to engage with her.
Kravitz explained: “They [the production staff on The Batman] tried to get me to know the cats that were Selina’s cats.
“And it was just putting me in a room with a bunch of cats, but the cats didn’t care.

“I was just sitting here, and the cats would just walk away; it did nothing.
“They were the hardest thing to control during the shooting.
“We were doing like, crazy stunts, and like, all that was fine. But then, like, getting a cat to stay in one place – impossible.”
Unsurprisingly, if you’ve ever heard someone say that a difficult task was ‘like herding cats’.
You might have also heard someone suggest that actors should never work with animals or children.
However, it must have been quite hard to escape working with cats for this movie.
Kravitz stars alongside Robert Pattinson in The Batman, which is in cinemas worldwide now.
