Price of a pint at Jeremy Clarkson's Hawkstone Arms as he 'opens' new £1m pub

The star of Clarkson's Farm has been keen to expand his business ventures in recent years

Jeremy Clarkson might be in his sixties but the former Top Gear man is showing no signs of slowing down despite being just a few years off the UK's retirement age (sorry, Jezza).

Having spent the last half a decade running the 1,000 acre Diddly Squat Farm in the heart of the Cotswolds, Clarkson has become a household name for a different reason after swapping super cars for tractors and combine harvesters.

With three seasons of Clarkson's Farm already broadcast via Amazon Prime Video, filming for a fourth is now well under way with millions of viewers eager for it to be released as soon as possible.

For 64-year-old Clarkson, the career move has opened up the door to other business ventures. And top of that list has to be making his own beer from his own crops and now, 'opening' a £1m pub.

Under his Hawkstone brand, Jezza has invested in making beer not too far away from the farm on the outskirts of Bourton-on-the-Water.

And it's beer that has gone down a storm with fans of the TV presenter-come-farmer, with a tented pub at the Hawkstone Brewery site packed with visitors on a daily basis.

Dubbed the Hawkstone Arms, it sells all the products you can expect to sample under the Hawkstone range. We're talking premium lagers, IPAs, cider, and even the farm's own gin.

It comes as Clarkson is set to expand his venture in to the world of selling the beer he produces, with him recently taking over the £1 million rated Windmill pub in Burford; roughly 20 minutes away from his Diddly Squat Farm.

Opening the pub 'accidentally' for the Euro 2024 final (the less we say about the football, the better, mind), Clarkson showed off sleek new Hawkstone beer pumps in the pub as it readies to open.

In a video from the 'accidental' opening, the man behind the camera said they were 'four or five' weeks away from properly opening to the public.

But how much does his beer cost?

Well, at the Hawkstone Arms it's pretty reasonable for 2024 standards.

In a modern world where a pint around a fiver can be seen as a bargain, Clarkson is showing he truly is a man of the people.

For a pint of the Hawkstone Premium (4.8 percent), you're looking at £5.50 or £2.80 for a half. For the Hawkstone Session (four percent) it's £5 straight or £2.60 for a half.

The Hawkstone IPA (4.8 percent) comes in at £5.50 (£2.80 half) and the Hawkstone Pils (3.8 percent) brings you back down to £5 (£2.60 half).

The strongest draught drink is the Hawkstone Cider (five percent) and that costs £5.50 (£2.80 half).

For those unsure at what they want, you can also get a Tasting Paddle for £7.50 which includes three half pints. Do the maths, and that works out cheaper per pint if you're staying there for a little while.

The low-alcohol Hawkstone Spa Lager (0.3 percent) can also be bought in can form for £3.15.

Diddly Squat Farm gin (35ml) and mixer comes in at £6.50 (£11 to double up) with the Diddly Squat Farm vodka or rum with mixer priced exactly the same. Soft drinks are also available and priced from £1.50 to £2.50.

The price of a pint in Clarkson's new pub is not yet known but fans will be hoping for a pricing structure along the same lines as the Hawkstone Arms.

Come on Jezza, do it for the people.
