McDonald's has released a brand-new McFlurry across its United Kingdom restaurants, and the flavour has been compared to something you might not be expecting.
Labelled a 'sweet and sour' confectionary by the fast food giant founded way back in 1940 in California, it comes just weeks after the release of the viral Shamrock Shake, which for the first time ever made its way to British shores after only previously having been available in the USA, Canada, and Ireland.
As for what the sweet and sour ice cream is, the product is officially known as the Apple Cake McFlurry.

"It consists of a soft dairy ice cream swirled with apple and shortcake pieces and finished with a sour apple sauce," McDonald's has said in a statement issued this week.
The limited-edition pudding is available to buy from today (26 March) but had been available for 48 hours beforehand to those ordering it via the Maccies App in participating restaurants.
Released to coincide with the new A Minecraft Movie film, starring Tenacious D's Jack Black and Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa, Maccies says it will be available while stocks last. After that, it's gone for good.
As for what it tastes like? Well, some have compared it to a tasty childhood classic. But one you would only get if you weren't feeling too well.

"Apple cake McFlurry tastes like Calpol... I am here for it though," one person over on X (formerly Twitter) wrote after trying it for the first time.
Another wrote: "Tried the new McFlurry today. Apple cake flavour. My verdict: very nice! Outside the box thinking from McDonald's, whose deserts had become very predictable. 9/10.
"My only note would be that the biscuits didn't add anything to it."
The Apple Cake McFlurry costs £1.99, with the Apple Cake McFlurry Mini setting you back £1.49.

Also dropping today is the Cheesy Garlic Bread Dippers, with Maccies saying: "These irresistible dippers feature mozzarella cheese infused with garlic and chives, wrapped in a ciabatta-style breadcrumb coating, and served with a rich tomato dip.
"A delicious prelude to your sweet and sour dessert and available as four pieces or sharebox."
The Cheesy Garlic Bread Dippers (four pieces) will cost you £2.40.
A share box will cost you a bit more at £6.66. Devilishly moreish, we're sure.
