The McRib is returning to McDonald's menus in the UK and all will be right with the world.
At least we hope so, the McRib hasn't been on sale in Blighty for years so a lot of people who yearn to sink their teeth into the meaty sandwich might be relying on nostalgia to inform them of the taste.
You'll have to reacquaint yourself with the taste of the McRib when it goes back on sale, where it'll be £4.49 by itself or £6.19 as part of a meal.

It might be a case of beating the queues, however, as demand is likely to be high and you could very well find yourself being told that McDonald's has sold out of it all.
When the beloved Breakfast Wrap was brought back it soon had to be taken off the menu again to avoid Maccies running out of all of its breakfast ingredients.
Demand for the McRib is high, as when the Breakfast Wrap was reintroduced there was a deluge of demands from Brits to bring the sandwich back too.

Earlier this year McDonald's told LADbible it 'currently has no plans to bring back the McRib', so it seems the fats food chain has changed its mind.
As for how the McRib is made, a McDonald's worker revealed all on TikTok with a handy video.
As you might expect from an account called @madaboutmaccies they adore McDonald's, and they showed off the process in a video from last year.
According to the video, the first step is warming a tray of barbecue sauce before chucking the pork shoulder meat on the grill and then immersing them in the warm sauce until they're dripping in it.

Creating a base of a toasted bun, onions and pickles, the saucy meat chunk is then slapped between those buns and you've got a McRib to chow down upon.

You can bag yourself one when they hit McDonald's stores on 16 October.
While the McRib is set to return as a conquering hero, if you want the freshest thing on the McDonald's menu then you're better off ordering the Quarter Pounder.
That's the burger they do which is cooked from fresh and not frozen, so consider it next time you're tapping away on one of those ordering screens in McDonald's.
