Earlier this week, McDonald's made everyone's year by bringing back what is arguably the best menu item ever to be created.
We are, of course, talking about the iconic Breakfast Wrap.
Now, if you managed to get your hands on one of McDonald's delicious brekky items this week, then consider yourself very, very lucky.

If not, it seems you've missed out.
Because unfortunately, McDonald's has had to remove the item off the menu, just days after it returned.
The Breakfast Wrap is essentially the menu item of dreams. It combines all parts of a Maccy's breakfast so you never have to choose between bacon or sausage, one or two eggs, hash brown or no hash brown, ever again.

And it all comes in one handy wrap. It's just delicious.
Filled with a scrumptious pork sausage patty, two round free-range eggs, a slice of bacon, a crispy potato hash brown and cheese, you can also choose from tomato ketchup or brown sauce (or neither, if that's your preference).
And you can make it a meal for just £5.89, or have it on its own (it's pretty hefty) for £4.39.
Maccy's fans were so hyped about its return this week that people were even declaring its return date as the official Breakfast Wrap Day.

One social media user said: "The Breakfast Wrap being back at Maccies is the greatest thing to happen for years."
And another wrote: "Uber Eat’s drivers will have dropped off McDonald’s Breakfast Wrap’s to half the population this morning."
Unfortunately, the latter comment isn't actually far wrong, as McDonald's has now announced it has had to temporarily take the wrap off the menu due to unprecedented demand.

Apparently, the popular item has been so sought after that it's actually caused the chain to start running out of other breakfast items.
"Due to an unprecedented demand, McDonald’s has had to temporarily remove the Breakfast Wrap from the menu, to avoid running out of all wider breakfast items," the fast food chain explained.
Maccy's has said it's not goodbye completely, just 'see you later' as the wrap will 'hopefully' be returning at some point next week.

But it's certainly bad news for those who were hoping to devour one this weekend.
Fingers crossed Maccy's sort out their supplies and the wrap is up and running again soon, but until then, we'll have to stick to a McMuffin.
