It's bad news coming from the nation's most affordable pub chain, as Wetherspoons has raised the price of popular food and drink items in all of their pubs.
Wetherspoons has long enjoyed the reputation of offering the cheap pubs in the UK - with the pint setting back punters around £3.19 (depending on area).
However the most budget friendly of institution isn't immune to the cost of living crisis, with the pub chain introducing another increase on food and drink items from today (29 January).

What are the latest changes to the Wetherspoons menu prices?
The latest change to the Wetherspoons menu will see the price of several drinks rise by 15p, meanwhile the cost of a meal deal is set to increase by 30p.
While prices will vary from pub-to-pub, the average price of a meal deal with a soft drink was previously £4.99 and £6.52 with an alcoholic drink.

So after the increase these would now be £5.29 and £6.82, respectively.
Speaking about the price increases, Wetherspoons boss Tim Martin told The Sun: "Wetherspoon has always tried to remain as competitive as possible. We hope that our prices will still be reasonable in spite of these increases."
However it's not all bad news, as the 15p price increase will only affect select drinks on the menu.
The pub chain is yet to state which drinks have been impacted by the rise, however they have confirmed which drinks won't be increasing in price.

Martin had previously warned about the possibility of price hikes in November last year, following changes to National Insurance and an increase in the minimum wage.
Wetherspoons currently operates just over 800 pubs across the UK, however punters could soon be able to nip into a nearby 'Spoons while on holiday as the chain is said to be considering opening locations abroad.
Addressing the idea of opening up a Wetherspoons in locations such as Alicante, Benidorm and Mallorca, Martin told The Sun: “We are looking at it. There are probably 100 to 200 franchise partnerships in the UK. Now it’s a question of going abroad and it’s a possibility.”
