Two mums and one dad have had confirmation that all three of their names will be on their child’s birth certificate.
A throuple made up of mums Natalia Nogueira and Jamille Ferreira, and dad Ruan Vieira, have been granted permission to have all three of their surnames on their first child's birth certificate.
The official documents have been passed in Fortaleza, Brazil, after the court requested visits from a psychologist to their house before agreeing to the decision.

The trio began their dynamic when Jamille, 34, and Ruan, 28, decided to expand their relationship and met Natalia, 27, who wanted to be a part of it.
Jamille, the baby’s birth mother, fell pregnant soon after the throuple decided to make it official.
Baby Bernardo, now 16-months-old, will not only have three parents, but also six grandparents.

Three quarters of the way through their pregnancy, the trio began to delve into the legal process behind having Natalia also recognised as an official parent to the child.
Family law expert Ana Zelia Cavalcante said: “In the first half of 2022 I received contact from Natalia, who told me that she was living in a polyamorous union in the form of a three-way relationship.
"She said that Jamille was pregnant, going into her sixth month, and explained that she wanted to have social motherhood recognised."

On February 15, a judge ruled in court that the process could go ahead, saying: “There is no doubt about the existence of the state of mother and child given the emotional bond between them, characterising a true socio-affective relationship.
"Therefore, what can be extrapolated from this entire process is that the second author can also be considered the socio-affective mother of the minor."
Delighted with the news, Mum Jamille told Diario do Nordeste: “It was very important for us.
“It wasn't just Natalia's right as a mother, but Bernardo's, mainly.

“When the psychologist came, I commented that it was very easy and wonderful to share motherhood with Natália.”
The throuple have been dating for three and a half years, but when talking about what would happen if they ever decide to call it quits, Cavalcante added: “If the relationship dissolves, for example, his alimony rights belong to all three parents."
The three are now waiting for court paperwork to come through, so that they can attend the register office to add Natalia's name to his birth certificate.
