Man shares insane before and after of only eating sardines for 48 hours with major side effects

Even just two days made a big difference

With society more concerned about its health than ever before, there's a wide range of trends that the internet will be convincing you to try.

Although you should always listen to your doctor and your own body when contemplating a new diet or fast, there will be those on TikTok who want you to believe that not eating something will fix all your problems, and that's far from healthy.

Of course, there are foods and drinks that are generally just bad for us if we eat too much of them, while fasting can also have some impressive benefits when its done in a safe and sensible way.

We've seen people have huge success with water fasts where they have nothing but H20, while the Liver King's wife seems to be loving life on her carnivore diet which features bull testicles as a before-bed treat.

But the new kid on the block is the sardine fast, which is exactly what it says on the sardine tin. Nothing but fishy goodness for a few days to apparently reset your body and give you a huge boost of vitamin B, D and omega-3 fatty acids.

Fortunately, there are people who are willing to try these fasts so you don't have to, and content creator Pigmie decided to share his results with his huge online fanbase after 48 hours of the tinned fish.

Taking us through a time lapse of the 48 hours, Pigmie explained how he almost immediately looked and felt leaner, although that quickly transformed into an intense hunger, mainly for anything but sardines. You certainly can't question his commitment, as he even sank a glass of sardine juice and oil afterwards.

Soon, without things like carbs or sugar, he started to feel fatigued and suggested that he was going through the motions, with time passing very slowly (although it was probably passing just as fast as it usually does).

However, while his body was suffering, his mental state was soon improved, as he said: “I felt as if I reached this zen-like flow state of focus".

Pigmie continued to suffer through the aversion to sardines and food, and he probably won't want another tin for some time, but as he progressed through the hours he started to feel better in his body as well.

He explained how his joints and injured shoulders started to feel better, while his vision also surprisingly improved.

Because of the lack of carbohydrates, it's likely that you'll enter the state known as ketosis, where the body burns fat for fuel. Even after just 48 hours, you can certainly see the difference in his body, although he already was pretty jacked in fairness.

However, this process can really take its toll, with the content creator also explaining the health risks of too many sardines, suggesting that it can put you at higher risk for bleeding problems.

So, if you can do it sensibly and you're willing to put up with feeling hungry and tired, then maybe the sardine fast is worth a go. Just please promise not to shot the sardine juice that's left over.
