Tinder has now responded to a viral video which showed a woman receive an unexpectedly flirty note from a pilot while waiting for her flight.

When it comes to unexpected meet cutes locations, most of us wouldn't have the airport at the top of our lists. After all, most of us spend our hours in the departure lounge wearing all the clothes we couldn't stuff in a carry on and slouched over our phones.

But life moves differently in the influencer world, with content creator Steph Bohrer (@stephbohrer) proving that looking your best at the airport can lead to the most unexpected of comments.

In a viral post on TikTok, Bohrer revealed she'd been waiting patiently for her flight when an anonymous pilot walked by and dropped a handwritten napkin note on her lap.

"I'm sitting at the airport and a pilot just placed this on my table and walked away," the text overlay in the clip read.

And what are the contents of the note you ask? Thankfully Bohrer was kind enough to share the message, which read: "I have seen the whole world and you are the most beautiful woman in it."

"I didn’t even see his face," the 23-year-old added in the caption.

Opinions were split on whether or not the note was sweet or cheesy, however one person who was firmly in camp sweet was the admin over at everyone's favourite dating site Tinder, who gave the exchange the swipe right of approval.

"And what happened next???" their comment read.

Other viewers were also won over by the note, with a second person commenting: "Girl are you actually the main character HOW DO THESE THINGS ALWAYS HAPPEN TO YOU," while a fan-fiction platform Wattpad added: "Need the next chapter update now pls."

"Think this is your sign to make a wedding board babe," Pinterest added.

Unfortunately for the admins at Tinder, Wattpad and Pinterest, and all you hopeless romantics out there, it doesn't seem like this story had a fairytale ending, judging by the lack of contact details and the fact that Bohrer didn't see his face.

"I feel like he just carries a STACK of these in his pocket," one aviation insider commented. This theory was also backed up by numerous flight attendants and ex-wives of pilots, with one person writing: "Knowing some pilots, he probably has a wife."

"Sorry to break it to you but pilots say this to every flight attendant and passenger. He most likely has wife and kids at home tbh," a third added.
