If you're booking seats on a plane, then there's one row in particular that you should apparently be avoiding.
Not all seats on the plane are created equal - some have more legroom than others but might carry the unexpected penalty of the door bursting open and threatening to drag you to your doom.
Others might be cramped as hell and situated right next to the toilet, leaving your wondrous experience of whizzing through the air spoiled by a pungent pong.

Flight attendants know all the secrets and features of the planes they're working on, so if they tell you there's a particular spot on the flight to avoid, then you'd better listen to them.
According to the Mirror, flight attendants from numerous airlines have agreed that the spot you really want to dodge is anywhere along row 11.
Basically, this row is probably going to be in the middle of the plane which means you're going to be the last one off the flight, particularly if you have a window seat.

Then again, while it'll take you longer to get off the plane, there's another big reason you don't want to be sitting here as it's a disadvantageous position if you're planning on getting food on your flight.
To make the most of snacks on the plane you want to sit either at the front or back of the plane as those in the middle might end up finding that they've sold out of whatever you want by the time they get over to you.
That's not the only thing to bear in mind when thinking about where to sit, as the wafting stench of the plane toilet must also be factored in.

Apparently the best seat on a plane for keeping the smell of other people's bowel movements out of your nostrils is 4C as you'll have an aisle seat near the front where you can quickly dash to the loo but will avoid the queue or smell.
As for other seat selection tips from flight attendants, if you're wanting to join the 'mile high club' there's better seats than others to tick that one off the bucket list.
Apparently the trick is to position yourself right by the loo for quick access and you should use the toilets in economy class as there's likely to be more than one and you won't be holding anyone up.
Meanwhile, if you were wondering why some flight attendants sit on their hands during take-off, it's to keep the body in a rigid pose so it's better placed to avoid damage in the event of an emergency. Learn something new everyday, eh?
